PICCOLO is an extremely low cost development programmer for Microchip PIC microcontrollers with Flash memory and 18 pins. Larger devices with 28 and 40 pins) can be programmed using the ICSP connector and cable.

PICCOLO is an ideal entry-level programmer for small bussines, hobbyists and students. It is dedicated to users who do not want to waste their time building a self made programmer but who want to concentrate on useful development work. With PICCOLO you are sure that the programmer is compliant to the latest Microchip's programming specifications for development programmers.

PICCOLO is optimized for low price, therefore the delivery does not contain components which users may already have: power supply (approx. 15 V, 300 mA) and parallel port cable (PICCOLO can be also used without such cable if plugged directly on the PC LPT connector). However, these components can be ordered as an option.

PICCOLO supports ICSP (In-Circuit Serial Programming).
